David Sinski, M.A.
David Sinski serves as the Chair of the Adler School Board of Trustees and is the Executive Director of Heartland Human Care Services, a subsidiary of Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights. Mr. Sinski joined Heartland in October 2012. He leads the team at Heartland Human Care Services in carrying out their mission to achieve freedom from want, fear and injustice for people marginalized by poverty, displacement or situations of vulnerability by developing and providing a continuum of services that meet basic needs (including the development of affordable and supportive housing) building strengths, safeguard human rights and provide opportunities for positive change.
David came to Heartland Human Care Services after many years of experience working with youth and social service programs. At After School Matters, he spent over ten years in various capacities including Chief Officer of Strategy & Innovation, Program Manager, Senior Program Director and Executive Director. Prior to that assignment, he served as Director of Youth Development Programs as Alternatives, Inc. Before joining Alternatives Inc., David worked for Mujeres Latinas en Accion, delivering programs that addressed domestic violence, parenting, youth development, immigration issues, and leadership development. David holds a BA from Marquette University and a MA from Northeastern Illinois University.
