  • Adler Action Day: Stop Human Trafficking (+)

    9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    Chicago Campus

What are the mental health implications of victims of human trafficking? Are there support services for victims of human trafficking? What actions can be taken to address this post-modern form of slavery? Join the Office of Global Affairs as we invite the entire Adler School community to take action on this human rights issue that has both global and local implications. We have identified four existing pieces of legislation that look to address human trafficking at the local, national, and international levels. We will have information to help increase your awareness of these specific pieces of legislation, petitions to sign, and representatives to call to help promote legislative action.

  • The Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS): Overview and Case Illustrations (+)

    8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
    Chicago Campus, Community Hall

The Adler School of Professional Psychology will be hosting a training on the new Rorschach administration & scoring system on April 4 & 5 at the Chicago campus. Dr. Gregory Meyer will be here conducting the 2 day training, and we would like to offer a special deal to training directors & site supervisors who currently train doctoral students. The discounted price for the workshop is $350.00 for the full 2 day workshop, which also includes 12 CEU’s.

This two-day workshop introduces the new, empirically-grounded Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS). R-PAS uses the task as a verbal and perceptual behavior sample obtained under standardized conditions such that personality inferences are based on observed performance rather than self-description. Test scores are compared to new internationally-based norms and graphically displayed using standard scores. After describing the meta-analytic research foundation for R-PAS we focus on distinctive features of administration, coding, normative reference data, and interpretation, and apply the system to two cases. We assume participants have some previous Rorschach-based assessment experience.

Registration is required prior the event. Please use the following link to register & select the Alumni option & the CEU option (if needed): http://www.planetReg.com/RPASworkshop.

Any questions about the event should be directed to Dr. Lauren Nichols at lnichols@adler.edu.
