Healing Trauma Practical Tools and Approaches (+)
Tuesday, April 23, 2013
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Chicago Campus, 15th floor
IPSSJ is joining with Wisdom Exchange to bring a 2-day opportunity to learn about The Sanctuary Model. It will be free for the Adler School community members.
Please join us to learn about practical tools and approaches in the journey of healing trauma in individuals, families, organizations and communities. Each day there is a different focus:
- Monday, April 22, 2013: 1:00 - 4:30 p.m., Introduction to The Sanctuary Model®
- Tuesday, April 23, 2013: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Introduction to the Art of Hosting Conversations that Matter around Healing Trauma.
Introduction to the Art of Hosting Conversations that Matter around Healing Trauma will explore what it takes to heal trauma in community as we seek to move beyond being 'trauma informed' to promote safety, peace and well being. We will have the opportunity to experience how participatory methods - such as world cafe, circle, and story telling - promote personal and collective compassion and sense of hope while re-weaving connections in communities.
What are the most important conversations we need to have about healing and trauma at this time?
Join Hosts Nancy Fritsche Eagan, Dave Ellis of Three E Consulting, Renee Jackson of The Next Generation of Leaders and Lina Cramer of Wisdom Exchange as deepen our individual and collective capacity to promote healing and well-being.
