Presented by the Adler School's Office of Global Affairs, attend the Amnesty International informational session at the Adler School campus to find out how you can be a part of this global human rights movement. Presentation and informational session geared towards students on how to get involved in supporting human rights/social justice issues on your campus and about Amnesty International’s upcoming Human Rights Conference happening here in Chicago April 4-6.

    Practicum and clinical field experience allows students supervised, real-world learning in a professional setting. Join us for a workshop tailored expressly for Adler School students by CTC Coaching and Program Director Laura Sterkel.

    During this workshop you will learn how to:

    • Utilize the student learning experience to serve your future career goals.
    • Gain insight from ‘real life’ examples and expand your awareness of professional expectations in the field.  
    • Develop a professional network that will serve you throughout your career.

    There will also be discussion on how to gain clarity in career direction, identify personal values, and how to promote yourself to a potential employer.

    Laura Sterkel a seasoned performance and leadership coach who helps organizations, business and community leaders enhance their purpose and reach their potential.She co-founded Chicago Financial Women and has served as a mentor for Menttium Corporation supporting the careers of rising-star women leaders for over a decade.     Learn more about the field of criminology and criminal justice from Rachel Johnston, Ph.D., Program Director, M.A. in Criminology. Dr. Johnston was the former Director of Research and Development for the Chicago Police Department.
