Journalists and experts from more than 30 organizations that deal with some aspect of violence came together for a recent workshop hosted by the Chicago Media Workshop to examine issues surrounding gun violence in Chicago.
Among the experts was Elena Quintana, Ph.D., clinical/community psychologist and Executive Director of the Institute on Public Safety and Social Exclusion at the Adler School of Professional Pscyhology.
"Chicago is the World," a global voices blog of the Chicago Media Workshop, reports on some of the conversation between Dr. Quintana, "a veteran in dealing with the forces that bubble up into violence," and La Raza editor Fabiola Pomerada.
