President's Donor Appreciation Reception
Thank you to all who attended the annual President’s Appreciation Reception on June 6. Hosted by Raymond E. Crossman, Ph.D., President of the Adler School, this special event provided an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of our generous donors. Dr. Crossman said, “I appreciate the opportunity to recognize those who support our mission and our programs – allowing us to graduate socially responsible practitioners, engage communities, and advance social justice.”
A highlight of the evening was a special presentation of the Community Leadership Award to Illinois State Senator Mattie Hunter in recognition of her many accomplishments and work for social change and social justice. A native Chicagoan, Mattie has served in the Illinois State Legislature since 2003.
Attendees also had the pleasure of hearing remarks from Lariza Fenner, M.S., Core Faculty, M.A. in Counseling: Art Therapy Program. She introduced one of the School’s newest community partners, Prescious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation, from the Back of the Yards Neighborhood. Precious Blood’s Director, Father Dave Kelly, C.P.P.S., and resident Jonathon Little, spoke about the organization’s work with the Adler School in creating Peacemaking Circles to address the city’s violence on Chicago’s South Side.
The Adler School is grateful for the continued support of our mission and our donors’ continued involvement. Learn more about how you can support the Adler School.
