Adler School alumni and new graduates are strongly encouraged to utilize LinkedIn as a digital and living résumé. Join the Adler School Community group to see multiple job postings weekly, and also to connect with other practitioners in the field.

Career Services

Career Transitions Center of Chicago (CTC), an Adler School community partner, provides career coaching, free seminars and job search tools for professionals in a multitude of professional fields. Adler School alumni can secure CTC’s services in their Chicago office, at School or virtually. Recent workshops have included “Powerful Communication and Interviewing with Confidence.” In the Fall of 2012, CTC launched its new virtual career services, called Optimal Resume, which allow job-seekers to craft a personal website, with resume and cover letters, video, photos and writing samples. In addition, live career coaches will be available to work (via videoconference and Face Time) with Adler School alumni from any location, via PC, smart phone or tablet. Our Vancouver alumni will be among CTC’s first international test audience for this exciting new technology.

Licensure Prep

The Adler School provides our Psy.D. graduates with test preparation kits for the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology ( EPPP) licensure exam. These prep kits, valued at $1300 are provided to all Psy.D. alumni at no cost or shipping charges.

Continuing Education

Many practitioners are required to earn continuing education units each year. The Adler School offers a number of workshop opportunities for its alumni. The Adler Child Guidance Center, the LGBTQ Center and other departments offer a comprehensive menu of offerings on a wide range of topics of CEU-credit courses and workshops throughout the year. Check out our calendar.
